How can I (21M) help my friends (21M) suicidal thoughts

My friend recently told me he was suicidal he’s wanting so hard to be better but he can’t get there. He’s feeling lonely even with friends but he’s been spending a lot of time with me. I don’t know what to do to help him. I’ve been with him almost 24/7 since he told me and I’ve been having some suicidal thoughts too and I don’t know if I can get him through this. I don’t want to lose him and I dont know what to do.
