I was in college when this happened and I was on a very popular social media site at the time called MySpace. I had just made a new profile and I had just started adding friends. This was before the days of strict privacy settings, so when I accepted a friend request, that person could see my entire profile.

I was just browsing through my friends' profiles and noticed that one of my friends was in a group called "HOT GIRLS" on the site. I thought nothing of it. Then I noticed another group called "HOT GUYS". Nothing weird about that.

The next day, I received an email from a guy named Alex. He had a profile on the site, but I didn't know who he was and his profile picture was of a guy with a hat and sunglasses. The email was simply an offer to send me nudes if I sent him some first. He included a link to a site that had a bunch of nudes on it. It was weird, but I just thought he was joking and I didn't think much of it. I just deleted the email.

A couple days later, I was browsing through the site and I decided to look up Alex's profile. When I found it, I noticed that he was in a group called "HOT GAY GUYS" (MySpace had a lot of racist groups btw). I laughed at the irony of it all, but when I looked at his profile picture again, I noticed something weird. The picture of a guy with a hat and sunglasses was actually Alex. I couldn't believe it.

I was on campus one day and I was sitting in the quad, studying. There was a guy sitting across from me, and I noticed that he looked a lot like Alex. I wasn't sure, but I asked my friend who was sitting with me if he thought it was the same guy. She looked over and said that she thought it was too. She was a lot taller than me and had a better view of him.

For the next couple weeks, I noticed that Alex would be sitting in the same quad every day at the same time. It was creepy and made me uncomfortable. I eventually moved off campus, but I didn't forget about this guy. One day, I was walking through campus and I was going by the quad. I looked up and saw the same guy sitting there, looking at his phone. I recognized him instantly. It was Alex, the guy who sent me nudes. He looked up and saw me. He was so startled that he jumped out of his seat and started walking away from me as fast as he could. I called after him and said "it's not me, it's you" which made him run faster.

It's been a long time since that happened, but I still get the heebie jeebies when I think about it.
