My friend is in a mutual aid society where people give all of their money to the group at the beginning of the month and the group gives them the money back when they ask for it.

My friend says he feels like everyone is looking over his shoulder. If he buys something, he has to submit a bill like it’s a receipt from a restaurant. The group monitors his spending habits. He feels like he’s losing his right as an adult to be able to make his own decisions on how to spend his money.

Apparently, the group monitors everyone’s spending habits to make sure it is fair. I’m not sure they do anything if a member spends more than what the group feels is fair.

This is real socialism.

I’m a capitalist, but I gotta say, this is the way it’s really supposed to work.

When you have a government managing your money, there is always corruption.

What if the government was made up of regular people instead of politicians?
