Has anyone experienced an anime fan at his worst?

I'm a pretty normal anime fan just checking out new anime to watch and enjoy. I've always felt that I'm a pretty normal person. However, I have seen some pretty bad anime fan instances. How would you show how bad anime fans can be?<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>1. I was walking down the hallway in high school. I was in my junior year (17-18). Once I was walking down the hallway with my backpack, an anime fan just stared at me and said, "Ash Ketchum." I didn't really say anything. I just shook my head and walked away. I guess it's pretty harmless to just call someone Ash Ketchum, but the way he said it was weird. It really felt like he just stared at me and didn't say anything else. He just said Ash Ketchum.<br><br>2. One day I was shopping at Safeway in my hometown. I was wearing my school uniform, which is a white button down shirt and khaki pants. With my school uniform, I was wearing a black jacket. On my black jacket was a pin with Naruto Uzumaki on the pin. Now, I like Naruto, but it's pretty meh for me. I think it's your more standard shonen show. It's not like I find Naruto bad. I just don't find it that good to the point where I love it. Anyway, as I was shopping at Safeway, I saw this nerdy kid that looked about my age. He sees me and starts walking towards me. My gut was just telling me to avoid him. However, once he got to me, he said, "Do you like Naruto?" I said, "Yeah. What's up?" He then said, "You know, I'm like the Naruto of math. I'm not good, so I always try harder." I said, "Oh, cool." He then asked, "Do you have a crush on Hinata?" I said, "Not really." He then asked, "Who do you like in Naruto?" I said, "I don't know. I don't really have a favorite Naruto character. I just think the show is just pretty meh." This kid then said, "Oh my gosh! You're so cool! Not having a favorite character in Naruto is so cool! It's awesome! I love you!" I just shook my head, and this kid just looked at me with this weird ass smile on his face. I said, "Well, I'm gonna go." And this kid just said, "Okay." I then walked away from the kid and continued shopping. I felt pretty creeped out by this kid. My gut was just telling me that this kid was going to be weird.<br><br>3. One day I was sitting in class. I was in my junior year (17-18). This kid in my class just walked in and said, "Hi." I said, "Hi." He then said, "I have to tell you something, but you have to promise not to tell anyone." Once I promised him, he whispered in my ear, "The reason why I'm here is to go on an anime adventure." I just shook my head and sat back in my chair. I didn't really say anything. I just kind of nodded at him and said, "Okay."<br><br>4. I was at the mall with some friends. I saw this anime group hanging out. They were all cosplaying as anime characters. They were all just doing their cosplay thing while also talking about their favorite anime shows. I have no problem with this, but what I do have a problem with is when they started screaming, "ANIME! ANIME! ANIME!" I don't know why, but they just started screaming anime at the top of their lungs. The mall was pretty busy at the time, so it was kind of embarrassing. I don't know why, but they just started screaming anime for no reason. I felt like I was just embarrassed to like anime.<br><br>5. One day I was shopping at this game store. Inside the game store, they had a bunch of systems set up where you could play games like PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. There was also this group of people just hanging out and talking. I don't think they were employees, but they seemed pretty familiar with each other. They all seemed like friends. Anyway, they started talking about anime. I don't remember what they said, but I do remember them talking about anime. They were pretty loud about it, so I could hear them. Anyway, one of them said, "Yeah. I like anime, but I don't like the culture surrounding anime. I just like watching anime. I don't like the culture behind it." One of the employees then said, "Eww. Why would you say that? You should be ashamed to say that. This is an anime store. How could you say that? You should be ashamed of yourself." I don't know why, but this employee just went off on this kid for no reason. I felt pretty bad for the kid. I thought it was pretty weird how the employee went off on him. I don't know why the employee went off on this kid. I just thought it was weird. How would you show how bad anime fans can be?
