I don't love it because it's a particularly good country. I don't love it because its people are particularly good. I don't love it because I've been brainwashed into loving it. I don't love it just because I'm Jewish.

I love it because of what it is. It is the first and only Jewish state in 2,000 years. It is Jewish people being free. It is Jewish people having the capacity to defend themselves for the first time in 2,000 years. It is Jewish people being able to say "no" without having to fear for their lives.

I love how it is the only country in the Middle East in which Christians feel safe. I love how it is the only country in the Middle East in which all religions can worship at their most holy sites without a problem. I love how they can say what they want and think what they want, without fear of the government.

I love it because of what it could be. I love it because the idea of Israel was supposed to be a beacon of light. I love it because it was supposed to be a place where people could live together in peace, no matter their race, religion, or ethnicity. I love it because it was supposed to be a place where everyone had equal rights. I love it because it was supposed to be a place where everyone could live in freedom, no matter who they were.

I love it because it's not perfect. I love it because it's a work in progress. I love it because it's a place in which freedom of speech exists, with no worry of the government punishing you for speaking your mind.

I love it because it's a place where people can dream about a better future for all. I love it because it's a place where people can say "we can be better" and work towards that. I love it because it's a place where people want better and are willing to fight for it.

I love it because it's the best chance we have at peace, at this point in time.
