While I embrace AI and see its value in many areas such as manufacturing, engineering, construction, space travel, science, and more, I think AI in the fields of law, education, healthcare, and healthcare workers would be a disaster.

I spent the last 20 years in sales, specifically with 2 of the largest software companies in the world. I also received my law degree in 1999.

AIs biggest strength - it's ability to crunch data and recognize patterns - is a weakness in the fields of law, education, healthcare, and healthcare workers.

In the field of law, the ability to think critically and outside the box is essential, as well as the ability to think on your feet. I don't think an AI lawyer could successfully argue a case to a judge and jury, not for a very long time.

In healthcare, the same challenges I believe would be present. I can't imagine an AI surgeon, especially in the most difficult surgeries, such as organ transplants, heart transplants, and brain surgeries. I don't think an AI could successfully respond to the unexpected challenges that arise during these types of surgeries.

I believe that AI has the ability to crush those careers, and while that sounds good, I think it would be a disaster for humanity. Many of these jobs are essential for maintaining order and a good quality of life.

I like technology, but I think it should be used as a tool and enhancer, not as a replacement for human beings in these fields.
