A stranger saved my life

I was a college student, about 20, living in an off campus apartment. One day, I decided to go to the store down the road. I didn’t have any money with me and the store never let you go without paying first. So, I walked in and started looking for something to steal. I had done it before, but that day was the first time I got caught. I was scared because I didn’t want to get sent to jail and ruin my chances of getting a good job. <br><br>The police were called and two officers came to arrest me. The one was nice and told me not to worry, I would just have to pay a fine and get community service. But then he put me in the back of his squad car and we drove to the police station. <br><br>I didn’t like the idea of being alone with a police officer. I’ve seen all those stories about cops sexually assaulting women. So, when we were on a street with very little traffic and we stopped at an intersection, I made my move. I grabbed the officer’s radio from his belt and I held it to his head. Then I got a hold of a pen and I stuck it into his ear, right into his eardrum. I was so scared, and the officer was bleeding, so we drove to the police station faster. When we got there, they called for an ambulance. The police officer had to go to the hospital. They treated my injuries (the officer had blood all over me) and then they let me go home. <br><br><br>A few days after that incident, I moved away to a different city and I haven’t had any run-ins with the police since then.
