Why are political ideologies based on race and sex?

I don't care if i'm a white guy or black girl. I don't want to have anything to do with politics based on race, sex, religion, etc. There's nothing wrong with me and I know I'm not oppressed. Why are they dividing us into different groups when we are all people?
