I’m sure most of you want nothing to do with TERF ideology, but I’ve been seeing a worrying trend in the witchy community of people 1) using the “muh timeline” argument in the context of trans people’s identities, 2) saying TERFs are just trying to protect women and that they only oppose trans women’s right to use women’s bathrooms, then act shocked when I say that TERFs want trans women and men to be legally non human, then 3) saying “I’m not transphobic, I just want to protect cis women”.

Remember, women are trans, trans are women, and centuries ago patriarchal societies took the right to practice magic away from us, along with our rights to articles of clothing, career choices, marriage choices, and other basic human rights. I’m glad trans women are allowed to articles of clothing patriarchal societies took away from women. Thank the goddess we have the right to vote, to marry whoever we want, to have careers, and to practice witchcraft.

I stand with trans people and articles of clothing. Blessed be.
