When you told the students "You will be the ones who will replace us. You will be the people who will rule this country in the future. And you will make changes, not us."

This was the same phrase I told them when I first got my job as a teacher.
I told them. "You will be the ones who will replace us. You will be the people who will rule this country in the future. And you will make changes, not us."

I never expected them to take my words so literally.
I never expected them to do a nationwide revolution.
I never expected them to fight for democracy.
I never expected them to be so brave.
I never expected our small class to be the turning point of this country's history.

These are the students who got killed fighting for democracy for this country.

Again, I knew they were brave.
But I never expected them to be this brave.

We are also mourning their deaths along with one teacher who was killed.

I honestly am not sure on what to feel right now, but all I can do is stop crying in the middle of the road and post this here right now.

Edit: The people who got killed are in college now. They are not my high school students. I've been getting a lot of messages about this.

Edit 2: I am okay. I was crying because I was sad. I am not in danger.
I was in the protests. I am not a coward who hides in his house while everyone risks their lives for the country.
