The RMS Titanic never sank when it accidentally collided with an iceberg on its maiden voyage in 1912. It struggled to stay afloat for the rest of the voyage. It had to take a different route to New York. The ship had enough lifeboats for all the passengers and because of that they were able to evacuate the ship safely. The crew had to make a makeshift hole in the ship, to drain all the water out in order to reach New York. The ship accidentally turned into a naval war ship.
