I’m annoyed about how many Americans claim to have never been to a foreign country.

Hi everyone. I’m an American and I’m not here to complain about my fellow citizens.

I just want to know why it seems like every other American claims to have never visited a different country. Or at the very least, have only been to Canada/Mexico. This goes for imposters who claim to have never left the state they were born in.

My family didn’t travel much. We were too busy working and teaching me how to be a good person.

But I’ve been to enough countries to know that there’s nothing to be afraid of. Just plan ahead and take the necessary precautions (I’m not stupid, I’m not going to Saudi Arabia or anywhere else I’d be arrested or murdered for being myself).

Unless you have a condition that makes traveling difficult, there’s no excuse not to at least take a weekend trip to Canada or Mexico or go on a cruise.

I’ve only been to seven countries so far, but it’s enough to know that there is so much beauty in this world and so many wonderful people.

If you’re scared to travel alone then bring a friend with you.

I’m not here to judge others, it’s just something I’ve always been curious about.
