Waxes and wanes

The people of Lithuania who gather here and exclaim "we aren't all like this" are behaving similarly to Americans who exclaim that Trump is not their president. Mr. Trump is the President of the United States and his actions have consequences. <br><br>Similarly, the leaders of Lithuania are your leaders and their actions represent your country. <br><br>I don't like the term "wax and wane". In all honesty it makes little sense. <br><br>My genetic Mr. Lithuanian who gather here, when your country's leaders change their stance on so many issues in such a limited amount of time, you do run the risk of being known as a nation of flip floppers and that type of reputation doesn't sit well in the outside world so I'm not sure why you exclaim "we aren't all like this". You are. And if you gather here just to hear people tell you that there are good lithuanians, well then you are just making up your own echo chamber and you are complicit in your nation's issues.<br><br>Therefore I encourage the people of Lithuania to remind their political leaders that the behavior of a leader of a country reflects on the citizens of that nation, and that in the democratic societies that we aim to be, the people call the shots by electing their leaders. Therefore we the people are the ones who chose those leaders. <br><br>I also encourage Mr. Lithuanian to be more engaged in the outside world and to better understand the implications of the actions of your nation. <br><br>I also want to thank the people who have engaged in this conversation and to thank them for their efforts to help their country.
