Eliminate all laws regulating speed limits, passing, right-of-way, and traffic flow in general.

a. Keep all the laws related to size and weight of cars/trucks (like bridges, height clearances, etc.)
b. Keep all the laws that regulate certain roads (like handicaps, trucks, etc.)
c. This would not abolish traffic lights or roundabouts. Only laws which regulate the usage of these systems.

Example - you can make a right turn on a red light. That should not be illegal. Governments should not regulate this at all.

I can imagine a situation where this is abused and potentially creates a situation where people are in danger. Please give me your best argument how/why you think this is a problem. This needs to be an area where governments can improve safety by regulating traffic laws.

The hypothesis that this improves safety is a leap of faith - we cannot know in advance if this is a good policy. Governments need to run the experiment to test the hypothesis.

103 upvoted domain (81%)

Governments should abolish all laws related to traffic flow of cars.

1.
