Stalked in a mall whilst trying to do not to

So this happened to me when I was 13 which is 11 years ago and I’ve often thought about this night over the years. I don’t know if anyone was actually after me but I’m posting this here just in case. <br><br>It started out as a normal Friday night. My parents had an argument and my dad packed me and my younger brother into our car and asked me to drive him around for a while whilst my mum cooled down. I didn’t have my full license at the time but I was getting close and my dad wanted my practice for my upcoming driving test. We were just driving for a while and then pulled into a shopping center for a break. <br><br>We parked in the multi level parking lot and walked around for a few hours. My brother was sick so he had to come along. He’s autistic and non verbal. We’re walking through one of the corridors and there was a young man and woman around my dads age walking towards me. I noticed them as we drew closer to each other because I realised that they were staring at me. I thought my dad had of upset them somehow but he didn’t seem to notice them at all. He was just dealing with my brother as he starts to get upset for no reason. The man and woman got closer and I could see that they were just staring at me. I thought I had something on my face or my clothes but there was nothing there. I tried to get my dads attention but he was still preoccupied, and before I knew it they were right next to me. <br><br>I heard the woman say to the man, “perfect, we can get them both.” And the man reply, “nah, just leave them alone.” I keep walking and don’t look back. My dad asks me what’s wrong but I just tell him it’s nothing. I don’t want to sound stupid and ruin his night more than he already has. So we just carry on. My brother starts to get really upset and my dad needs to take him to a quiet room to comfort him. He tells me to go to the food court and get a coffee and wait for him. I say OK but actually sit on a bench just outside the disabled bathroom that my dad has taken my brother into. <br><br>After about 20 minutes they come out and we go upstairs to the food hall. We sit down at a table near the back and the man from before walks in, scans the area and sees me and then walks out again. I thought this was just a coincidence but it happened two more times. My dad said it was just in my head but I knew what I had heard the first time. My brother was sick at this point, he had thrown up in the bathroom and he needed a bath. We went down to the parking lot, drove to a nearby park and bathed him. We came back to the mall about an hour later to get something to eat. We went back upstairs to the food hall and the man and woman were sitting at a table in the middle of the room. They saw me walk towards them and I heard them laugh. I told my dad about it and he just thought they were laughing at a joke. <br><br>We went to the KFC counter to order food, the man and woman were behind us in line and were just staring at me constantly. The man was making gestures at me, like wiggling his eyebrows and making what I thought at the time were kissing faces. <br><br>We started eating and the man and woman came and sat at the table next to us. It was a four person table, we were at a two person table, so they sat down right next to us even though there were plenty of empty tables around. They were just staring at me, my dad and brother. They didn’t talk to each other or each other at all. My dad started eating his food with his right hand (he’s left handed) just so he could keep his eyes on them. <br><br>We finish our KFC and decide to go to the cinema to get my brother’s mind off of things. We’re walking towards the cinema and I hear a noise behind me. It was like a whooshing noise, like someone had tripped and run into me. I turn around and it was the man. He apologised and walked off. My dad got really annoyed and walked after him. He told me to stay with my brother and not to take my eyes off him. He went up to the man and woman and asked them how long it was going to take for them to leave us alone. <br><br>The woman started talking to my dad in a really babyish voice. She sounded like a little girl. My dad didn’t react to it he just told them they were freaking me out and my brother out and to stop following us. The man replied, “we’re not following you.” My dad asked them how long they were going to be at the cinema for. The man replied that they weren’t going to be there at all. My dad told them to go home and that we would be here for a few hours. The woman, still talking in the baby voice, said, “OK daddy.” <br><br>They walked off and my dad returned. We went to the box office and bought our tickets. We’re walking into the cinema and we see them again. They were walking out of the cinema next to the one we were in. I told my dad again that they were following us. He said they were just in the cinema next door and had already watched their movie. We went in and watched ours. I couldn’t enjoy it because I kept looking back at the entry door to the cinema. <br><br>We’re walking back to the parking lot again and the man and woman are walking not far behind us. My dad walks faster, they walk faster, my dad walks even faster and they keep up. We’re almost running at this point and the man and woman keep up with us. They’re not running but walking at the same speed that we’re running at. <br><br>We get to the car and jump in, lock the doors and speed off out of the car park. It was like they had a car too and they followed us. We lost them when we pulled over and my dad asked me again if I was just thinking this was all happening. I told him I wasn’t and he believed me. He said that he didn’t want to panic me but he was also getting a bad feeling from these people. <br><br>We didn’t go back to that shopping center for a while after that. When we did it was a day time and there was no sign of them. I don’t know if we would have been kidnapped or harassed that night but it’s stuck with me over the years.
