This happened a couple of months ago and I’m just now feeling like I can write about it without crying. It was in a small town that I had never been to before. I was in my car driving down the road that I was given directions to get to where I was headed. I was following the directions perfectly fine until I hit a fork in the road. There wasn’t a sign to show which direction to go but the other cars were all going left. I decided to do the same. I got to the end of the road and turned another corner. I drove about three more blocks when I came to a stop sign. I came to a complete stop at the sign and looked all around me. There wasn’t another car in sight and I couldn’t see around the corner. I looked in my mirrors and I saw a car coming down the street that I had just came from. I tried to act calm and waited for the car to come up to my left side. When the car came up to my left side, I could see that it was a small red car with a man driving and two young girls in the back seat. He pulled up next to my driver side door and asked if I needed directions. I told him that I was lost. He told me to just go straight down the road and that I’d run into someone who could help me. I asked if he was sure because I wasn’t sure which direction to go. I looked down at the road that I was on and I still couldn’t see around the corner. He said that the road went around and would eventually meet back up with the way that I had came from. I asked him if I could follow him and that maybe he could show me where to go. He agreed and said that it would be no problem. I told him thank you very much and that I would appreciate it. He said it was no problem and started back up his car. I started my car back up and started to go straight. I looked in my rearview mirror and started to follow him. He pulled up behind me and started back down at a slow pace. We went about three more blocks and I could see a gas station on my right. He pulled up next to my driver side door again. The man said that I should pull up to the gas station and ask the man at the register for directions. I told him that I appreciated him taking the time and that I would do that. I asked if his daughters were his. He said that they were not and that they weren’t his to worry about. He told me to be careful and that I’d be fine. He took off and I pulled up to the gas station. I turned my car off and went into the store to ask for directions. The man told me that I needed to go back to the way I came from and then take another road that went to the right. I thanked him and went back out to my car. I got into my car and turned it back on. I looked in my rear view mirror to see if the man was behind me again but he wasn’t. I put my car back in gear and started back up the street that I came from. I went back about two blocks when I saw a car with a man driving and a woman in the front seat and a man in the back seat. It was strange that they were going the same direction that I was and I couldn’t see any other cars around. I thought maybe it was a coincidence. The man pulled up next to my driver side door and asked if I needed any directions. I told him that I didn’t need any directions anymore. I had just gotten directions from the man at the gas station. I looked at the man and he looked familiar. He was in the same car with the same woman and man as before. The man asked how I could have just gotten directions if I still didn’t know which direction to go. He asked if I wanted him to show me where to go. I said that I didn’t need him to do that. He asked if I wanted to follow him so that I could see the way. I said no again. He pulled up behind me and started back down at a slow pace. I started back up and followed him again. I thought maybe I would be able to get to where I needed to go faster if I followed him. We went back the way that I originally came and then turned right on another street. We drove down the road for a couple of miles and eventually came to a town that I recognized. I told myself that I just needed to be more careful and pay attention to where I was going. When I turned back around to face the front, I noticed that the man pulled up behind me again and was following me. I was just going along with it because I felt like maybe it would be better to let him think that I was following him. We went through the town and eventually came to the exit that I needed to take to get to where I was going. I started to slow down in my lane and prepare to turn. The man started to slow down behind me. I didn’t see the woman or man in the car anymore. I was wondering if they ever existed or if maybe I had just imagined them. I looked in my rearview mirror and the man pulled up next to my driver side door. He asked me what my name was and I told him that it wasn’t his business. He asked me if I was afraid of him. I told him that I wasn’t. He asked if I would tell anyone about him following me. I asked if there was a reason I shouldn’t. He asked me if I was going to tell anyone. I said that I might. He told me that if I did, that I wouldn’t be able to tell anyone who he was. I asked him what he meant by that. I didn’t understand what he was trying to say. He said that I would never be able to tell anyone who he was. I asked if he was going to hurt me. He asked if I wanted him to hurt me. I didn’t say anything. I was terrified. I looked in my mirrors and I could see a car pulling up behind him and another car pulling up behind me. The man in the car behind me pulled up next to my driver side door. He asked me what I was going to do. I looked over at him and I saw that he was wearing a black mask. I decided to act as if I was scared. I started to cry and begged him to not hurt me. The man at my other side told me not to cry. I asked him what he was going to do to me. I looked at the man in the mask and then back at the man in the black mask. The man told me not to cry anymore and pulled out a cloth and wiped my tears. He told me to calm down and that I didn’t have anything to be afraid of. I asked him what he was going to do to me. He told me that he wasn’t going to do anything to me. I asked him if I could go. He told me no. I asked him if he was going to keep me forever. He said no again. I asked him if he was going to hurt me. He said no again. I asked him what he wanted from me. He told me that he didn’t want anything from me. He asked me what I wanted. I told him to let me go. He told me that he would but I wouldn’t be able to go anywhere. He asked me again what I wanted. I told him that I wanted to go home. He said that I would get to go home. I asked him when I would be able to go home. He told me that he would take me home and that I would be safe. I asked him how he was going to take me home if he didn’t have a car for me to get in. He said that he would take me home but I couldn’t tell anyone about him. I asked him if he would let me go now. He told me that I would go when he was ready. He asked me again what I wanted. I told him that I wanted to go. I looked at the man with the black mask and then back at the man who had been talking to me. I told him that I didn’t want to be scared of him. I asked him if he would promise me that he wouldn’t hurt me. I asked him if he would promise me that he would take me home. He said that he would. I asked him how I was going to know that he was telling the truth. He asked me how I knew that I was talking to him. I asked him what he meant by that question. He told me that I should know who he was. He asked me again how I knew that I was talking to him. I didn’t understand what he meant. He told me again that I should know who he was. I asked him to please tell me who he was. He told me that I would know. I looked at him and I still didn’t know who he was. He asked me if I didn’t know who he was. I told him that I didn’t. He told me again that I should know. I asked him how I was supposed to know. I didn’t know who he was or how I was supposed to know. He asked me how I knew my own name. I told him that I knew my own name. He asked me if I knew what year it was. I told him that I did. He asked me if I knew what month of the year it was. I told him that I did. He asked me again if I knew what month of the year it was. I told him that I did. He asked me again and I told him that I did. He asked me what month it was. I told him that I didn’t know. I looked at my dashboard and
