My boyfriend said something kinda racist and now I’m unsure if I should break up with him.

So yesterday we had a bit of an argument over Trump’s runtime on Twitter. But before I say anything about, I have to mention that I’m not from the USA or anything. I’m actually from The Netherlands, Europe. My boyfriend is from the UK. And no, we don’t live together yet. We live in the same city, just not in the same house. I was just checking my Twitter when all of a sudden, a Trump tweet showed up in my suggestions. (I don’t follow him or anything, thank god. His tweets are super cringy) And it said something like: “Make America Great Again?” And then I was like, oh, well. Trump won again, I guess. And I was a bit disappointed cuz I really wanted Biden to win over Trump. He just seems like a very.. Idk, how do I put this nicely? Trump just seems very different from other presidents. And not in a good way. (Sorry, I really don’t mean to offend you if you supported Trump) So yeah, I showed it to my boyfriend. But when he saw it, he said: “Good, fuck the n*****s that voted for Biden.” And that, guys, is a big no from me. I told him right away, and he denied it. Like, he said that he didn’t mean it like that. But, I don’t know, man. I don’t know if I should break up with him over this.., I mean, we’ve been dating for like 9 months now, we’ve had our ups and downs, and until now everything was pretty good. He made a mistake, offered an explanation, and I know that he didn’t mean what he said. But still, my mind keeps on wandering, I can’t stop thinking about it. I just feel so uncertain now, you know? Idk, guys, I guess what I’m asking, in a way, is.. Should I break up with him? But before you comment, please remember that I’m only 16, guys. I’m not very experienced with relationships, so, yeah. Please, guys. Let me know in the comments what you think, I guess. Thanks.
