My worst nightmare

I was sleeping in my bedroom when I heard noises outside my window. I was pretty scared and didn't want to open my door to the hallway since I was already wearing pajamas. So I got up and ran to my kitchen and locked all of my doors and windows and hid under a table and prayed it would go away. A couple hours later, it didn't and the noises got louder. I heard the back door open and I heard a guy in my house. I crawled out from the table and ran into my parents' room. They heard me and came out to see what was wrong. It turns out the noises were from raccoons, but it was the first time I had ever heard them before. It scared the shit out of me and I've been having nightmares about it since. I hate it when my parents are not home and I'm all alone, it scares me so much and I can't sleep.
