Wasn't saying that they are good excuses, but I think lack of job training, wage stagnation, lack of affordable housing, single parent households, mass incarceration, poor education, and lack of employer provided training all feed into the problem of why half of the country is poor and why there is a labor shortage (which really only exists for low wage jobs)
