I grew up in a strange family. It was a mess of dysfunction and weirdness, and I can't even begin to describe it. There was my mother and my father, both in their mid 30's, and me, a little girl. My father was a good man, he had his flaws, but he was good at heart. I thought he was perfect. He had these eyes, the bluest shade of green I had ever seen, and skin so pale, I couldn't tell the difference between his face and a porcelain mask. He wore black jeans, black shirts, black boots, and had long black hair that always seemed to fall into his eyes, framing his face like a dark halo. My mother hated him. I couldn't understand why. I thought she was a witch. I was a wolf girl. She had long fingers that seemed to stretch too far, her eyes were the same color as my fathers, and her skin was as white as the snow. She always wore a black dress, that was stained with red, and had hair that looked like it had never seen the sun. She wore high heeled black boots that seemed to stretch on forever, and she was always sneaking out at night. I didn't like her very much, I liked my father more, but I never hated her until I saw what she really looked like. One night, I woke up, and she wasn't there. She was out in the backyard. She was standing there, looking up at the moon. I felt an overwhelming urge to run up to her and hug her tight, to comfort her and tell her that I loved her. I didn't. I watched from my window as she transformed into a wolf, and ran into the forest. I watched her for a while, and then she disappeared. I never saw her again. I grew up in a house of chaos, and I didn't know what to do. My father was gone almost everyday, and when he came home he was always in a bad mood. I would lock myself in my room, and just sit there. I didn't like it. I hated it. I wanted to burn it to the ground, to destroy it all, to kill my mother and father, and just run away. I felt so alone. I couldn't tell anyone how I felt. I couldn't tell anyone about my mother. I couldn't even tell anyone about myself. I felt like I was all alone. One night, I woke up, and I heard something in my room. I tried to ignore it, but it just wouldn't go away. It sounded like scratching, and it was coming from the closet. I went to the closet, and I found it. A wolf girl. She was covered in dirt, and her eyes were the same shade as my mothers. She had long fingers, and skin that was as white as the snow. She was wearing a black dress, and had black boots on. She was looking up at me, with the most beautiful green eyes I had ever seen. She had long black hair that seemed to fall into her eyes, framing her face like a dark halo. She looked so much like my father, I didn't know what to do. She started scratching at my door, and I didn't know what to do. I just stood there, and watched her. She looked so much like my mother, I couldn't tell the difference. She was like a ghost, a shadow. I just stood there, and watched her, until she finally stopped. She turned around, and she transformed into a wolf. She ran away, and I didn't see her again. I felt so alone. I couldn't tell anyone about my father, or my mother. I couldn't even tell anyone about myself. I felt like I was all alone. I grew up, and I realized that I was never meant to be part of this family. I couldn't live with these people.
