My brother saved my life when I was 4

I was 4 years old when this happened. I remember this day like it was yesterday. My mom was working at the time and had just had a baby boy a month before this day. My mom was a nurse and worked night shifts. I think she was working at the time this happened. I was playing outside my house. My brother was about 1 year old and was in his baby seat outside on the patio. It was winter and the heat was off in the house. It was very chilly outside.<br><br>My 7 year old brother was playing in the park across the street from my house. He was supposed to be inside at the time but he decided to go play. My brother saw me walking home from the park and was concerned that I wasn't wearing anything but a pair of shorts. He knew I lived in a cold climate. It was the middle of the night and very dark. He thought it was strange that I was walking home so early. As he approached my house he noticed that my shorts were soaked in blood. He ran into the house to get help. My brother had saved my life. I had been attacked by a dog. I have no memory of what happened that night.<br><br>I had a very bad headache for the next few days. My mom never found out who the owner of the dog was or if the dog was on any rabies medication. My mom did not report the attack to the authorities. I was left to deal with the trauma of this incident alone. I don't remember much of this incident. I remember waking up in the hospital. I was in the hospital for a few days. I have no other memories from that time.
