As a Walmart store manager, I never cared to catch people stealing even though it was my job to do so.

I was a store manager for a few years. During my time as a manager I caught 2 people shoplifting and turned them in to the police. Not because I cared about the company losing money but rather because the people I caught were assholes. I let countless people go without saying a word. I was paid well but it always felt like I was just being a bad guy. I’m glad I’m not there anymore. It’s not really a confession but oh well.#####Edit: 1 million views! Thank you all! I’ve since upgraded to a role where I can be much more empathetic to people and it feels great!
