99% of what people say on Twitter would be considered rude in real life.

To me sending tweets is the same as having a conversation with your friends except you're free to comment if you want without being rude or intruding onto the conversation. If people say something on twitter you generally have the freedom to join in the conversation if you want to and comment on the topic.

So if I see a tweet saying something, I think of it as one of my friends saying something. A large percentage of tweets would generally be rude or something one of my friends wouldn't say to another, such as "I'm going to hang myself if I don't get into college", or "If someone comments on my tweet I'll kill myself". Or "I'm going to end it all after this announcement" - there is no reason for this shit on twitter. If you feel depressed or upset, don't feel like you can't say anything to your real friends, and don't say anything on social media that you wouldn't say in real life.
