My experience at an anime convention

I went to my first anime convention last weekend, and it was a pleasant experience, but I have a few observations I'd like to share.

My first observation is that the majority of the people there were white people dressed up in Japanese clothing and pretended to be Japanese. This was a bit stupid and racist in my opinion. Also, I saw a lot of people speaking in a fake Japanese accent and trying to use Japanese words incorrectly. I felt embarrassed for them.

My second observation was that the panels were not very interesting. I attended panels about Japanese culture, and while they were somewhat educational, I didn't find them particularly enjoyable. Also, the panels were often disorganized and lacking in quality.

My third observation was that the vendors were not very exciting. There were a lot of bootleg and low-quality products, and the prices were exorbitant. I didn't see anything that interested me or that I would want to buy.

My final observation was that the community was very cliquish and elitist. People seemed to be more interested in showing off their cosplay or merchandise rather than engaging with others or discussing anime. I found it difficult to make connections or have meaningful conversations with people.

Overall, my experience at the anime convention was mixed. While it was interesting to see so many people gathered together to celebrate anime, I was disappointed by the lack of quality and authenticity in the panels, vendors, and community.
