Learning to drive is the only thing I can think of where everyone is expected to suck at it until they "get it".

I was 100% terrible at school until I was about 25, I sucked at my first two jobs, and I was a bad cook. We all start out shitty at anything, but driving is the one activity that pretty much everyone is totally fucking uncoordinated at until, at some point, they just stop sucking. Even something like tying your shoes is something I'm sure most of you figured out after 5 minutes of trying one day. But driving, Jesus, there's an entire segment of society dedicated to people getting over the fear of driving.
