I lied to a police officer to get my friends off a hit/skip ticket (I was the by stander not my friends)

I’m a mail/UPS/FedEx delivery driver. <br><br>There was a accident on a street I was driving down, I stoped to see if everyone was alright, one of the parties had left the scene. a few mins latter a police officer pulled up. I told him what I seen. He asked if I would give a statement. He had me say that I was driving down the street and seen the accident happen (I wasn’t) and then write and sign it. He then used that to get a warrant for the guys license and arrest him.<br><br>Edit: I didn’t know this would get so many upvotes. Thank you kind strangers. Now I can finally buy that ps5 I’ve wanted.
