If you’re constantly running late, put your clocks 5-10 minutes ahead.

Don’t tell anyone, and don’t try to keep track of the “real” time. Just set all your clocks ahead and still leave when they say to leave, still eat when they say to eat, always show up on “time.”

If you’re running constantly running 5-10 minutes late, it won’t make a huge difference in your life to be running a couple of minutes *early* instead. And it’s way easier than trying to change your whole routine but still end up late.

Edit: wow this blew up! A couple of observations:

* I guess you should exclude your cell phone so it actually looks like your clocks are correct.
* Syncing your clocks is important. If you know your car clock is 5 minutes fast and your work clock is 10 minutes fast, you might find yourself making mental calculations to figure out what time it “really” is. (And then you might find yourself deciding that the mental calculations aren’t worth the effort and you end up late.) You should try to make all your clocks the same.
