Can consciousness or intelligence be described mathematically?

I wasn't aware of any theories that try to describe consciousness or intelligence mathematically. However, I came across Integrated Information Theory which I guess tries to do just that. But I'm curious, are there other theories and frameworks trying to "crack" intelligence or consciousness using mathematical tools?
