Why do people say that women being more emotionally vulnerable is a good thing for the male gender?

I am not even sure if this is even accurate since I have never seen a woman cry in real life, but women constantly say that they are able to show emotions more than men. It is in fact considered a good thing and women use it as a "we can do this but men can't" type of thing.

I see it as the opposite. Women being more emotionally vulnerable would make it easier for them to attract men who are more powerful than them. They would just have to cry and men would want to protect them, and that is an easy way to make men attracted to them. On the other hand, showing vulnerability as a man would make us appear weaker. Looking weaker as a man would make it harder for us to attract women. When men show vulnerabilities they receive less interest from women. It is actually better for men to hide their vulnerabilities and bottle it up as much as possible because any sign of weakness for us would make us appear less attractive to women.
