First time I saw my sister naked. She was 8, I was 10

When we were all small, my parents feared baths. Holidays where a nightmare, my sister would have to have her own room, my brother would have to have his own and my parents would have their own. We all would take turns on who would be first, I loved being last. I would never get in the bath until it was already warm. One day, while I was waiting for the bath to be completely empty, It was my siblings turn next and she was holding the towel to get in. My dad was looking at me with an angry face. So I stood up and said ‘I’m going to the toilet, but I need to take a shit and the toilet door is open because it broke so you will see me taking a shit, and then you will see my sister with her towel on getting in the bath so either just face your fears and do just one of us, but you can’t and that’s disrespectful to me. I’m 10 and I want to keep my privacy. I’ll never let my sister see me naked and I’d never want to see her naked either.’ My dad was getting angry with me and told me ‘do you know how hard it is to bathe a young girl that can’t do it for herself’ And I said ‘doesn’t she deserve her privacy too then?’ My dad was so angry with me, my mum finally came through and said ‘remove the stupid door and then I’ll bathe your sister because you can’t deal with it.’ So my dad removed the door and then my mum took it upon herself to bathe my sister. When I came back, the bath was done so I got in the bath and went and got changed. I came back downstairs to see my sister in a towel rushing to get changed in her room. I said to my mum “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to upset him so much. I was just upset thinking about him seeing me naked. I know I’m a boy and he’s a man, but it’s not right to me personally. Unless I’m in a medical setting with a male nurse or doctor where there’s nothing sexual about it. Then I’m fine with it. It’s completely up to me who I let see me naked and I have a right to feel uncomfortable about it.” And my mum said to me “Oh, don’t worry about it sweetie. Your dad loses his temper often, you’ll get used to it.” And I said “But he deserves my respect and it’s not right what he’s doing. I wouldn’t do it to him and he shouldn’t do it to his own kids.” And my mum said “But he doesn’t know how to talk to you in a calm way. It’s hard for him to talk to you because he’s embarrassed.” Then I said “He wouldn’t want me to see him naked either, it’s completely up to him to decide that, and he should give me that right to decide.” My mum said “You don’t ever have to worry about that. He’d never let you see him naked.” Then I said “Then he shouldn’t see me naked either.” My dad walked by and said “I can bathe you and your sister perfectly fine! Don’t worry about it.” Then I said “Then why can’t you bathe yourself then?” And my mum said “That’s enough!” Then my dad said “I bathe myself just fine. You don’t have to question me about it.” Then I said “I’m just as capable of washing myself as a 10 year old as you are as an adult.” My dad and mum both said “Enough!” And I said “I will never get in a bath with you, I don’t want to ever see you naked and I hope you never see me naked either. It’s my own privacy!” Then my dad shouted at me “I WON’T SEE YOU NAKED AND I WILL NEVER LET YOU SEE ME NAKED!” And I said “Good.” Then my mum threw me out of the room and said “That’s enough of you! Go to your room!” I went to my room and my sister came in a little later. She said to me “Thanks for defending me” Then she hugged me. I hugged her back and said “You’re my sister. I’ll always protect you. If anyone gets hurt by me, it’s because they hurt you and they deserve it.” Then she said “I love you” And I said “I love you too.” Then we hugged again and my sister went back to her room.
