The world had never truly experienced virtual reality until the creation of Elysium. It was an indescribable experience, almost as moving as your first kiss. It was all the more incredible because it was a game, not a movie. You had full control of the actions of your avatar. The game didn't start off like this, but as the years went by, the company behind Elysium released more and more features, and it became almost as moving and immersive as real life.

However, this game came at a cost. As the years went by, what was meant to be a small group of beta testers for this game became a massive network of communities. It was incredibly easy to make friends in Elysium and to confide in them. Almost dangerously so, but the game had never reached the level of true maturity.

That was until the Elysium Event occurred, when the game began to break hearts.

At the start of the Event, multiple players across the world reported seeing a woman who was seen crying in the game. Almost a week later, a similar report occurred where a group of players witnessed a poor man who had lost his parents cry over his mother's cooking and was inconsolable.

The government took matters into their own hands not long after and have now made it illegal to cry in the real world over events in Elysium. What should we do about this?

**If** this prompt is similar to any other prompt, please tell me so I can add the original prompt's details here and give credit to the original author.

**Edit:** I typed "cry in the game" when I meant to type "cry over video games".
