Joking about 1488

I like making people uncomfortable. It makes me laugh. But I’m a bit concerned, how much 1488 have I joked about out loud or in writing? I keep joking about how much I want to kill black people, but does it matter if I’m joking? I don’t actually want to do that, but does it matter that I say it? Will they still believe I’m a racist? How should I approach this?
