How to kill a man in public

I’m 4 months pregnant and walking with my male partner. I go to the toilet, I come out and I see a guy I recognise from my old job who was a total creep towards me. He makes small talk with my partner. I tell my partner he’s creepy and I don’t want to talk to him. My partner proceeds to talk to him and tells me it’s no big deal and he’s “just making small talk” (he’s done this to me so many times).

He goes on to ask my partner how I’m doing now and I tell him I’m fine. Then he asks me if I’ve found a job yet (I was on maternity leave at the time). He then goes on to ask me about my job and I tell him I’m not looking for work yet.

At this point I’m so uncomfortable, I tell my partner and he tells me I’m being dramatic and he’ll take care of it (he didn’t). He doesn’t do anything. He just lets it continue.

So I have a choice, either let my creepy ex colleague harass me in public, or I do it myself. So I go up to him and I punch him right on the face, and he’s crying in front of people, I don’t care.

He then goes on to call the police and tell them I attacked him. The police come, ask for footage. They can’t find any and they let me go.

He then goes to court, and I don’t show up because I don’t know if I have to. They find him guilty and he’s fined 2k and ordered to pay 1.5k in costs and compensation to me.

So I don’t think anyone else will be in danger of getting charged for defending themselves against men. But if you are a victim of sexual harassment in public, and you want to do something about it, go and do it yourself.

Also if you’re a man, if your female partner is uncomfortable with someone and you tell her it’s no big deal, or you don’t want to “make a scene” then you’re not worth it.

And to my creepy ex colleague, I’m happy I broke your nose, I hope it takes a year to heal.
