I’ve heard that theism and Catholicism has a lot of haters nowadays, and I’ve read that some 20% of GenZ identify as atheist. It’s even more frightening that GenZ is 25% of the population of the U.S.

So, given the hatred that theism, Christianity, and Catholicism has, I think it’s important that someone says all this because I don’t really hear people talking about this.

Atheists will quickly tell you that they obviously don’t believe in an afterlife or a heaven. I’ve also heard something along the lines of “I would kill myself if there was a hell.” This makes me concerned both about the mental health and meaning of their life.

I’ve heard that many atheists would kill themselves if they knew there was a hell, which I hope they don’t because I don’t want people to allow an idea to change who they are. But anyway, this speaks volumes to me. It shows that atheists know that there’s something wrong with their life. They know that life with no consequences of sin is a meaningless life. After all, what’s the point of life? We’re all just specks of dust floating around in an infinite galaxy on a random planet.

I’ve heard many people say that religion and Catholicism just makes people feel bad about themselves. But the truth is that Catholicism makes us realize that we’re sinners. We do have free will, and we choose to sin. But we must not despair. We all make mistakes, and we must do our best to not make them. But in the end, it’s not our best that saves us, it’s God’s mercy that saves us.

I believe that if you’re an atheist, your life is meaningless. You may have your earthly rewards, but you have no heavenly rewards. You may have your family and friends as your audience, but you have no audience in heaven. If you know that your life has no true meaning, then why would you keep living?

I think that it’s sad that so many people reject the true religion with no valid reasons, and then they have no idea why they’re here. I’m not saying that there’s anything wrong with them personally, but I do think that atheism and any denial of religion is sad. How empty it must be to have no idea of why we’re here! I think that atheism is sad because it’s a rejection of God, and we were made for God. We were made in the image and likeness of God, and to reject Him must feel so empty. I hope that you’ll consider this. Thank you for reading.

___
___
___
___
___
___
___
**Useful Comments**

User: If there is no hell, then life *does not* have meaning.

I agree! The reason I’m staying on this earth is because I fear my existence in hell.
