Today's women don't want traditional men, they want traditional husbands without the "husband" part

I've been thinking about this and I've come to the realisation that women don't want traditional *men*, they want trad husbands. <br><br>Your average woman wants a man who will still look after her, still be polite and respectful to her, still be chivalrous, still buy her flowers, still buy her dinner. But they don't want that old school attitude that comes with it. Just the benefits.<br><br>They don't want to be a traditional wife, but they DO want a traditional husband.<br><br>They don't want men to stand up when they enter a room, but they still want men to stand up for them.<br><br>They don't want chivalry, but if a man doesn't buy them dinner or buy them flowers, he's a dick.<br><br>They don't want to give a man loyalty or fidelity, but damn near throw a fit if a man even looks at another woman.<br><br>What they want is to have all of their needs met and still be allowed to be the centre of attention, and if a man complains about that treatment, he's a lesser man.<br><br>Edit: I just wanted to add that this is all from a totally hetero perspective, I'm not considering LGBTQIA people in my OP.
