I'm a woman who got a fake id 10 years ago and it backfired in a major way

When I was 17 my cousin got a fake id for me. That year I was also getting my driver's license so we decided to just give my fake id my real name, real address, real birthday, real height, weight, eyes, hair, etc. the only thing fake was the year we made it (so it said I was 22 instead of 17). <br>We took a photo, it was done. Now, when I went to bars or clubs with this id I never had a problem. I knew people at each one and they knew me so I was rarely carded.<br><br>Fast forward to three years ago, after high school. I was going to college in the city about an hour away from my hometown. I still visited frequently and I still went to this bar in my hometown. My cousin and I decided to drive there one night and meet up with a few mutual friends. We get there, we're sitting at the bar drinking and having a great time.<br><br>I noticed this woman sitting next to me, just minding her own business. She's probably in her mid 50s, with curly red hair. I can tell by the way she's sitting and talking to the bartender that she's the owner. About 30 minutes later, the bartender puts a hand on my shoulder and asks me to step outside. So I'm standing there thinking I'm too drunk and I'm gonna get kicked out (I was not). He tells me to step inside this room. I step in and there's the red head, three police officers, a security guard, and a camera. He sits me down and says he's going to call my parents.<br><br>"Haha very funny, I don't live with my parents."<br><br>He calls my parents. My mom answers. She freaks out.<br><br>"Ma'am, can you come down to the police station? Your daughter is under arrest."<br><br>I smile and say "It's okay guys, I can explain." <br><br>The camera turned on and they recorded the entire thing. I explained.<br><br>"We didn't think you were this young girl because the birthdate on your driver's license (fake id) puts you at 34 years old, which is obviously not your age. You look like you're 15." <br> Because yes, I'm 5'2, 90 pounds, with bright red hair. <br><br>I try to explain, they don't believe me. I get arrested and taken to the police station where I am booked and put in jail. I get a few hours later and call my dad (mom is crying too hard to talk to me) my dad calls my cousin, my cousin calls his friend who made the fake id (or the original fake id was made from) I explained to my dad that in my wallet I had my real driver's license AND my fake driver's license. They believed me when they saw the real one.<br><br>The next year my cousin and I got a call from his friend who made the fake id (she was 15 at the time but about a year older now) I get a call saying "What the fuck did you do with my id?!? I got in trouble at school because of it!!" We were like ???? So we're like what are you talking about? She explains that she tried to use her fake id out of town and got in the same situation I was in. I explain that the fake id was my id, not hers. <br>She then asks how we got it and we explain. She then explains that she used my fake id to make her fake id. <br><br>Her friend then says "Oh my god, I have your id too!! Because I used hers!!"<br><br>So, my ID was used to copy an ID, and that ID was used to copy another ID. I don't know how many of "me" are out there, but I can bet it's a lot.
