Why are we so ready to call out anti-gun people for their hypocrisy, but not each other?

Let’s talk about hypocrisy. I see a lot of gun owners calling out the left and anti-gunners for their hypocrisy with their stance on guns. <br>I think that’s fine. I mean, you do have celebrities saying they’re against guns, even while they have armed guards at all times. You have politicians and celebrities calling for a ban on assault weapons, then they post pictures of themselves at the range with an AR. <br>But let’s also talk about the hypocrisy on our side.<br>You have people saying “I don’t need a reason to carry a gun”, but it’s only for self defense. It’s like, why are you carrying a gun if you have no reason to? *That’s* hypocrisy. <br>You have people saying “I won’t be a victim!”, but they only carry at night. What, are you only going to be a victim at night? <br>You have people who say “I won’t be a victim”, but they never practice or they don’t carry outside of their house. If you truly don’t want to be a victim, why do you have a gun if you’re not going to take steps to learn how to use it? <br>You have people who say “I won’t be a victim”, but they don’t carry all the time. I’ve heard some say “Oh, I’ll never be a victim where I live”. Well, isn’t that the point of carrying?<br>You have a lot of people saying “We will not comply”, but if you go and look at a gun store’s socials, everybody is complying. I think there are a few stores that aren’t, but that isn’t the overall sentiment. <br>This might be my biggest pet peeve, people who say it’s not their job to protect anyone else, but they’ll also say they’ll immediately get guns out of their hands if there’s a ban, and that we shouldn’t protect our neighbors and the like. Why do you have guns in the first place? Why are you against a ban if you don’t want to protect other people? It just seems weird to me if you’re against someone protecting their neighbors, yet you’re also against a ban and you have guns yourself.<br>I just don’t get it. I can’t stand hypocrisy.
