Every night, it's the same, you wake up gasping for air, your arms outstretched and your fingers grasping for nothing. But still you wake up, still you reach for her, still you gasp for air that you never really lost. Now, for the first time since the crash, you wake up gasping for air, your arms outstretched, and your fingers clutching a waist that isn't there, or so you think.

Your embrace is so tight around her waist, if it wasn't for the absence of breathing she would look like she was hugging you back. She stands so still, so quiet that if it wasn't for your hands embrace of her waist you would think she was a mannequin. She doesn't move, she doesn't speak, she just stands there, your arms wrapped tightly around her waist.

This isn't like your dream.

You draw in a deep breath, her scent, that sweet, sweet scent of hers that you thought you had lost forever, it hits you like a freight train, smelling it brings back memory after memory of you and her together. It can't be real, It can't be real, It can't be real.

Your vision blurs, the tears streaming from your eyes, but you don't notice, you don't notice anything, all you notice, all you feel, all you smell is her.

She's still embrace locked around you, that beautiful, sweet, beautiful woman still hasn't moved.

You draw in another deep breath, her scent still lingers in the air, what if this is real?
