British people, how do you feel about being referred to as a "pom" in Australia?

I know this is a sensitive topic, and a lot of British people get offended when Australians call them a "pom". My friend is British and she despises it, while my other British friend says he doesn't care at all. So just curious to hear your thoughts and opinions on this.
