The Texas-based technology giant is saying goodbye to around 6,600 employees as part of a company-wide restructuring effort that aims to reduce costs and make the business more agile.<br><br>* “The market, customer demands, and the world around us are changing faster than ever. As a result, we must evolve faster to remain the industry leader and continue to deliver for our customers,” co-chief operating officer Jeff Clarke wrote in a memo to employees on Monday.<br><br>The cuts will happen across divisions and ranks. Affected employees will get severance packages, careers support, and outplacement services. The move is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2024.<br><br>Dell is currently valued at around $70 billion, and this round of layoffs follows previous restructuring over the summer when the company cut around 2,000 jobs.
