What makes a man?

I was having a discussion in another subchambers and someone mentioned that "all men are not created equal" and they were referencing the phrase from the declaration of independence but also the fact that men are born with more privilege and advantages.

What does it mean to be a man? Why do we even value it? What do we get from it besides privilege?

I think men are encouraged to suppress emotions and empathy so that we can grow up to be assholes, but at the same time, we need to be strong and stoic. So which is it, huh?

What do men bring to the table that's actually important besides sperm? What should we even want to be like besides being able to produce children?

I really don't think there's any answer. I think all the societal pressure of being a man is stupid and unnecessary, and I'm glad my kids are going to grow up in a world where it's actually important to be a good and empathetic person.
