Right now my hottest take is that AI is not going to be super amazing.

When I first started using ChatGPT in 2023, it was kind of fun to play with. But now, after using it a bunch for 6 months, I don't really see how machines could ever be way better than humans. I mean, AI could do a lot of things better, but there are a lot of things it could never do better. Just like a lot of things humans can't do better than machines. But sometimes I feel like we all expect AI to be the best at everything, which I don't think is possible.

I think humans have done a lot of things really well, really quickly, for a long time. The AI stuff, on the other hand, is the first generation, and it can be pretty faulty. In the future, I expect AI to be really good and helpful, but I don't think it will be superhuman. I think humans will still be good at human things, which are really important. I also think we will still be surprised by how quickly we adapt, and how much we improve.

I just don't think superhuman AI is going to be amazing. I expect it to be super amazing in some ways, and super disappointing in others. I don't think it's going to be a huge success story. I think we will be happy with AI, but not that impressed. I'm not even that convinced that AI will be a huge success story. It could be a big disappointment in the end, or it could just be something we've learned to live with.
