I stole 100s of dollars of food from a Subway

It was about a decade ago, I was a teenager living on campus at college. One of the dorms that hosted classes also had a Subway in it. I figured out that if you walked in at the end of the night a few minutes before close, they were already cleaned down and the people working were lazy and didn't want to make a meal so late.

I would order something indulgent like a meatball sub, with extra cheese and sauce, and a 2 footlong cookies. I'd tell them I wanted it cut into fours and that was enough that they wouldn't bother to package it for me, instead just tossing it in a sack and sending me on my way.

I'd walk out, go around a corner and immediately return to the suspended window. Every single time there weren't any employees in the front, and I could see the food sitting there unattended. It was always locked, but I could reach through the 'drive through' window and grab my bag without issue.

They never caught on and I never got caught. And the best part was that I got all this indulgent food for free that I really couldn't afford otherwise.

It's a fun story. I don't think I'd do it again, even though they deserve it for serving such subpar food.
