It is obvious that the housing crisis in many countries of the world is due to the fact that the price of housing is disproportionate to the basic salary, which makes it necessary for a middle class person to work for more than a third of their life to be able to own a home. This has a direct impact on the birth rate, which is also declining due to the fact that a family cannot afford to raise a child and the woman is obliged to work to support the family in order to pay basic services, mortgages, etc.

This proposal will be aimed at avoiding a housing crisis, promoting a tendency to live in apartments in cities so that in the future people will live in smaller spaces but in cities that will be connected to public transport, this will encourage more efficient urban planning with less individual car use.

The proposal is to allow people under 40 years old to build a house only with the following conditions:

1. The plot is at least 15 minutes walking distance from the nearest town or city.

2. The plot is at least 1/3 of an acre in area.

3. The building is designed to be self-sufficient in energy and water supply.

4. The plot is only for one house.

5. The house is not built to generate income or be rented out.

6. The house is built according to the environment and the place where it is located, for example a wooden house in a forest or a stone house in a mountainous area.

The idea is to avoid the consumption of large areas of land, this would lead to areas of land being reserved for agriculture instead of construction. This will allow to preserve the natural environment and promote the sustainable use of resources, avoiding that in the future people become consumers of fast food or frozen food that is transported over long distances, and instead consume fresh food from local producers.

This measure is intended to promote the responsible use of resources, to avoid the use of cars to go to cities and towns and thus generate more CO2 emissions, and to preserve the natural environment and biodiversity.

So I would like you to change my view about this issue, tell me why this is not a good measure to solve the housing crisis, reduce CO2 emissions and preserve the natural environment and resources.
