This is a brief PSA from an insider of the tech world. If you are in tech or want to be involved in tech, this is the time to work in the field. Everything is changing in tech over the next decade. There is a wave of AI, VR, OpenSource, and Cloud technologies that are changing the way we live.

What does this mean? Most of the companies around today will be replaced in the next five years. They will be replaced by companies that have AI, VR, and Cloud technologies.

Why is this the case? These technologies are very expensive and manpower-intensive to implement. Currently 1/3 of the verticals are being replaced by upstart companies. OpenSource is changing the game by making things cheaper and more mobile. There are no barriers to entry anymore, just time.

Over the next five years companies will shift towards the OpenSource model. Everything is moving from hardware to software verticals.

There are less barriers to entry than before. With new technologies and the new OpenSource model, anyone can start a company. You no longer need a degree, all you need is the desire to learn and work very hard.

But don't think this is necessarily a good thing. There will be less jobs and more verticals will be automated. It's a hard pill to swallow, but this is the future of work.

What verticals will be less affected? Healthcare is the only vertical that will stay more consistent. There are some areas that will be automated but for the foreseeable future most of the work will still be done by humans.

So if you want to be a part of this exciting and transformational time, this is the time to be involved in tech. There are plenty of jobs, plenty of opportunities, and plenty of growth. Everything is changing in tech over the next decade.

This is the future.
