Americans on average invested only 14% of their disposable income in 2020. This is a really small percentage for a country that is invested so heavily in the stock market and private equity.

According to the Federal Reserve, in 2020 Americans on average invested about 14% of their disposable income.

I'm not thinking only on people that buy stocks, but also in people that put their income in mutual funds, or in real state investments, or in private equity.

I don't know other country to compare with such number, but I think they are low for a country that is so heavily invested in the stock market and on private equity.
