I'm a Democrat, I own guns, but I'm not your ally and I'm not your friend.

For numerous reasons, I'm not your ally.<br><br>I'm not your friend.<br><br>Let that sink in for a moment.<br><br>We aren't comrades, we won't be buddies, and we will never see eye to eye on anything.<br><br>I'm not in the middle ground. I'm not someone who is on the fence, wavering back and forth between different theories or preconceptions. I know what I stand for, and no, it's not your side.<br><br>I know some of your culture, and I see some things that I like, but make no mistake, I despise you and what you stand for.<br><br>This hasn't always been the case, but you've done this to yourselves. You painted a picture of what you stand for, and no, it's not freedom preeminent. We (Democrats) care about far more than you just having the freedom to stand in the middle of a crowded restaurant or grocery store and point a deadly weapon at the heads of men, women, and children to make some sort of grand (and pathetic) point.<br><br>For some reason you truly believe that your freedom is more important than my safety, and that's why I look down on you.<br><br>You have rights, I'll give you that. But so do I, and mine include the right to life and freedom from fear of being shot at random.<br><br>What did the GOP provide to prevent gun violence today? Nothing.<br><br>What did the GOP pass to prevent gun violence yesterday? Nothing.<br><br>What will the GOP do to prevent gun violence tomorrow? Nothing.<br><br>What have the GOP done to prevent gun violence ever? Nothing.<br><br>What did the GOP do after the shooting at the railcar plant in Des Moines? Nothing.<br><br>What did the GOP do after the shooting at Virginia Beach University? Nothing.<br><br>What did the GOP do after the shooting at the school in East County, California? Nothing.<br><br>It's a pattern.<br><br>They don't care about you, they don't care about me, and they don't care about our safety. They only care about taking our money, raising their own power, and, of course, worshiping their Gods: namely money and power.<br><br>But you wouldn't know that because you only get your news from one source, and it's slanted. It's biased. You are in an echo chamber and you're being played- just like an amped up fiddle.<br><br>And now, you're painting a picture of yourself, and painting yourself as the enemy of the people, breaking laws and pointing guns at innocent people to make *some* sort of point. You're painting a picture of what it means to be a gun owner, and I hate what I see.<br><br>I've owned guns for over 30 years. I've never pointed mine at anyone except a bad guy. Never.<br><br>I've never pointed my gun at a cop, or the crowd in a restaurant or Walmart, or at a protest. I've carried my gun in static position (holstered) my entire life and never pointed it at anyone except a target.<br><br>What is wrong with you people? Why do you do shit like that? Why do you paint your culture and your people in that picture? The picture you've painted shows the world what you are- a threat. Why does the world need to know that you have a gun? Do you need the attention? Do you need to be worshiped? Do you need to be feared?<br><br>You paint yourselves as human threats, and then you act surprised when people fear you. Your fear is your phallus and your god.<br><br>I don't paint myself as a threat. I *am* a threat. And the only people I threaten are the people who breaking laws. The only people who should (and do) fear me are the people who are the predators and not the prey.<br><br>You see, I truly believe in the rule of law, I truly believe in the safety of the people. And when you paint yourself as a threat to that safety, I will hate you. I will despise you. I will loathe you.<br><br>If you paint yourself as a threat against the laws of our land, I will be your enemy, and I will have no qualms about putting a bullet in your head, and i will not give you a second thought.<br><br>It's your decision though. It's your actions. It's your choice.<br><br>Not my problem.<br><br>Stay safe.<br><br>Oh, and for the record, yes, I am your enemy, but no, that doesn't make me your comrade.
