Hey all. I noticed there wasn’t a recent post for drug test prep, some I decided I’d write up a step by step guide. Please note, I’m not responsible for you failing a drug test, nor am I responsible for your employment status. This is for informational purposes only.

**Disclaimer: Do not use drugs, especially if you have a drug test coming up, or it is part of your employment policy.**

1. **Don’t do the drugs.** The most important step. If you don’t use drugs at all in the days before your drug test, you’ll pass without any doubt.

2. **Stop using.** The minute you know you have a drug test, stop using. The longer time period you have, the better.

3. **Hydrate.** Drink a ton of water. Avoid decaf and sugary drinks. The more water, the lighter your piss should be.

4. **Flush your system.** If you have enough time, you can attempt to flush your system. Drink a ton of water for 3-4 consecutive days, and you should be clean.

5. **B Vitamins.** Consider taking some B vitamins, as they can help make your urine yellow.

6. **Supplements.** I find taking some supplements such as milk thistle and liver cleanser can help get toxins out of your body. Consult with a doctor before committing to them, as it is not a substitute for professional advice.

7. **Sauna.** If you can go to a gym or have a sauna, I encourage you to do so. This can help sweat the drugs out of your system.

8. **Avoid foods that show up positive.** If you eat food with poppy seeds or things with hemp, you may test positive for opiates. Avoid these foods.

9. **Avoid secondhand smoke.** If you hang around people who use tobacco, marijuana or tobacco, you may test positive due to passive smoke. This is rare, but better safe than sorry.

10. **Dilution method.** If you do not have time to flush your system, you can try dilution. 24 hours before your test, drink a lot of water and eat supplements, and feel free to continue smoking or doing drugs if you are unable to stop. 24 hours before your test, stop using drugs, and stop drinking water. You should be fine for only a short period of time. This is high risk, as some tests will show dilution on the results.

11. **Consume a lot of carbs.** If you eat high carb foods, you will be happy to know it can help absorb THC. This is just speculation, but it can’t hurt to try.

12. **Consider a detox kit.** Detox kits are available to purchase online, and are a high risk, high reward. They most likely won’t work, but it’s an option if you are desperate.

**If you are still scared, there are other options.**

**Danger Zone: Do not attempt these without doing some research first.**

1. **Dilution.** Example above.

2. **Detox kits.** Example above.

3. **False Urine.** If you are scared, you can use synthetic urine. This is high risk, as you are testing your employers trust. Do not attempt this unless you are comfortable with the risk.

4. **Dilution Pills.** Some detox pills will dilute your urine temporarily, but be warned, some of them can be damaging to your health.

5. **Ozempic.** Ozempic it’s a drug designed for weight loss, but there is some anecdotal evidence that it can help rid your system of drugs. I’d be cautious of this, as Ozempic is a drug, and you can test positive for it.

**Most addictive drugs detected by urine tests.**

- Benzodiazepines (Xanax)
- Barbiturates
- Methamphetamine
- Phencyclidine (PCP)
- Cocaine
- Marijuana
- Opiates (heroin, morphine, codeine)
- Methadone
- Propoxyphene
- THC

**Detection length for most drugs.**

- Opioids (heroin, morphine, codeine): 2-5 days
- Methamphetamine (crystal meth, meth, speed): 2-5 days
- THC (marijuana): 15-30 days, 90 days in heavy users
- Benzodiazepines (Xanax, Valium): up to 6 weeks
- Cocaine (coke, crack): 2-5 days
- PCP (angel dust): 2-10 days
- Barbiturates (Seconal, Butisol): 2-10 days

**Weed Hangovers are Real**

THC is fat soluble and is stored in fat cells which then spills into the bloodstream at a slow rate. The effects of a “weed hangover” is caused by THC leaching into the bloodstream at a slow rate, which is why some people wake up with a nasty headache.
