Anyone else remember when Obama was president and politicians, including Republicans, were not blowing up over every little thing he said?

When Obama was president, it was the first time I had ever seen a president treated the way he was. He got a lot of unwarranted criticism and disrespect. He still was respected by politicians on both sides, even Republicans.<br><br>Now, I do not agree with everything Obama said and did. However, I never hated him. I don't hate any president. I think every president has their own flaws and make their own mistakes. I wish the media, politicians, and people could go back to the way they were when Obama was president. A time when politicians could make a mistake and it wasn't the end of the world. A time when politicians could criticize a president without it being an attack on their supporters. I do not think politicians should be able to just do whatever they want without being held accountable, but I think there is a time and a place for that. Instead of being so divisive, I wish we could start seeing politicians working together more effectively and spending time on actually working for us.<br><br>Edit: For people that think I am being biased, this is how I feel. I don't think that Romney would have been a better president in my opinion. However, I do think he would have been better than Trump. But I also think Obama was a better president than Romney and Clinton. I think people that think Trump is the best president we have ever had are just as bad as people who think Obama is the best president we have ever had, or Romney, or Clinton, or Bush, or Reagan, or any other president. I don't think any one politician is better than any other politician. They all have their good points and their bad points. We should all just be able to see that and work together. <br><br>Edit 2: It is so disappointing to see how so many people react. Instead of talking, people just want to downvote and insult. I don't care if you like Trump or you hate him, if you like Obama or you hate him. Everyone should be able to express their thoughts and opinions without being attacked.
