Stop telling people to leave the party early because "they look bad".

I've seen this all over Facebook groups and local subreddits, but a few times a week someone will post about how they saw someone at a party looking "shady", and the OP says "I left immediately". They end up getting a ton of "good on you" comments.

The thing is, they barely saw that person, and left because of some kind of gut feeling. What if a random person spilling a drink at a party isn't something you've ever seen before? If you leave because of that, are you going to think to yourself about what you did wrong? At a time when we are being told to be more "prudent", I'm worried that people are getting in the habit of leaving events early because of "gut feelings" about a random person they saw. A random person spilling a drink isn't something to be afraid of. Attending a public event or party is not an action that comes with a 100% chance of not seeing a weird person. Zoomers have been online for most of their lives, and they have a very unique perspective on what "normal" is. What if a "prudent" person who doesn't drink leaves a party because a person is dancing in an unusual way? The fact that someone is drinking is not a good reason to leave a party alone and at night. Attending a party or event is not something that should be treated as an occasion for practicing "prudence".
